Some guy wanted to show how kewl he is, apparently - well, "hacking" a collaboratively edited page is no beg deal, is it. I took the liberty of refilling the index page with the content of revision done by Bilbo on 18:23, 24 October 2006, which seemed to be the latest legit edit. I believe the page should be reverted to that revision by someone with admin rights. -- Pavarr 15:27, 4 February 2007 (CET)
- Thanks for the quick response to the vandalism. Unfortunately I don't think Mediawiki has an easy way for an admin to delete an entry from a page's history (if I'm wrong, let me know), so an admin's response would have been the same as yours. A quicker way to do this than copy+paste is to view the last good version using the history, click edit, note the warning "WARNING: You are editing an out-of-date revision...", and of course click Save. Thanks again! -- Bilbo 17:55, 5 February 2007 (CST)
- PS. For what it's worth, admins will block spammers and vandals (I blocked this idiot). If the account is responsible for many changes, it may be used by a bot, and blocking the account could temporarily disable the bot. -- Bilbo 18:04, 5 February 2007 (CST)
