Talk:Creating and using an encrypted directory

Researching a way to do this all from userland, hopefully someone has created a system for doing it, anyone know?--Langseth 04:15, 14 January 2006 (CST)

I looked for a way to do this in Windows and was troubled that most encryption software creates a self-executing binary that auto decrypts an embedded file. Nothing to simply decrypt a .aes file into a vfat directory. But then, I'm not really concerned with windows so I didn't try to hard but I can imagine a time when I wouldn't have access to a Linux box but may need to get at my personal data.
