Brewing

  1. Start heating 3 gallons of water
  2. Sanatize fermenter and instruments
  3. Bring to a boil, cool to (100f?), and pour into fermenter
  4. Put another 3 gallons into brew pot along with 3 pennies
  5. Steep grains at 150f-175f for 15 minutes
  6. Bring water to a boil, warm up malt syrup
  7. Remove heat, stir in malt
  8. Return to boil, wait for hot break (foam to go down)
  9. Add 60 minute hops, start timer. Watch for boilovers
  10. After 60 minutes, cool the wort to 80f as quickly as possible
  11. Pour wort aggressively into fermenter
  12. Take a sample and measure OG
  13. Once temp is <80, pitch yeast
