Brewing
- Start heating 3 gallons of water
- Sanatize fermenter and instruments
- Bring to a boil, cool to (100f?), and pour into fermenter
- Put another 3 gallons into brew pot along with 3 pennies
- Steep grains at 150f-175f for 15 minutes
- Bring water to a boil, warm up malt syrup
- Remove heat, stir in malt
- Return to boil, wait for hot break (foam to go down)
- Add 60 minute hops, start timer. Watch for boilovers
- After 60 minutes, cool the wort to 80f as quickly as possible
- Pour wort aggressively into fermenter
- Take a sample and measure OG
- Once temp is <80, pitch yeast
